Janof Architecture offers a philosophy, not a look. Our work is predicated on listening to and learning from our clients, and then using that wisdom to connect them to the home of their imagination with rigor, intelligence, and wit. Each project is as unique as each client, and the built result is filtered through our decades-long experience designing homes of physical integrity and lasting style.
Our process is deeply collaborative – with clients, contractors, and consultants – and our projects embody the creative alchemy of bringing talented people together. We provide full architectural services for complex new and existing properties, including the integration of landscape and interiors with our own team and beyond.

Amy Driggers-Janof has been honored by the American Institute of Architects, the American Library Association, and the American Institute of Steel Construction for excellence in design. She graduated from the Yale School of Architecture and participated in the design of the Bill & Melinda Gates residence, and has since directed a long list of impressive residential projects. She opened her Seattle office in 2000 and Bainbridge Island office in 2023, and has steadily built a reputation for elegantly imagined homes designed to inspire and elevate daily living.
Lisa has been a licensed architect for over 25 years with Stuart Silk Architects and Studio AM. Her career began with commercial and institutional projects, but she discovered her passion for residential design while completing her Masters of Architecture at the University of Washington. She combines the unique and creative dynamics of each project with an attention to detail, translating her clients' needs into functional and beautiful designs that will bring them utility and joy.
With over 30 years as a designer, project manager and architect, Charles is LEED certified and brings his special interest in sustainability to multifamily and single family residences, educational and retail projects. He is skilled in communication, problem solving, and applying quality assurance throughout the project, ensuring that a project meets standards for excellence, code regulations and client expectations.
As a Washington State Licensed Architect and graduate of Washington State University, Debbie’s work has spanned commercial and residential projects in Europe and the U.S. She met Amy when they were practicing architecture as young mothers and living in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Debbie helps clients to visualize design ideas through 3D computer modeling, and is a master at creating construction documents and navigating the rules, regulations, and permit review process in Seattle and other jurisdictions.
Xiaorui has a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas, and has traveled the world practicing architecture, including Paris, Hong Kong and NYC before moving to Seattle. From luxury high rises to art galleries to custom residences, she creates human-centric spaces that delight and transform daily experiences.
The behind-the-scenes orchestrator of all the things that hold JA together, Deborah came to the firm in 2015, having previously served as Director of Support Services at Callison Architecture. She graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder where she was a competitive diver. If you know Deborah you would not be surprised that she was named Magnolia Soccer Club Coach of the Year.
Katy founded marketing departments in several successful tech companies, including Getty Images and GreaterGood.com. A graduate of Dartmouth College, she brings life to JA’s online presence and keeps the technology gears turning so our brilliant architects can do their brilliant things.
As a high end custom residential builder for the past 25+ years, it takes a solid team for a successful project, and working with Janof Architecture made for a seamless process. From thorough construction documents up front to fast turn-arounds on field details and questions, Amy and her team were always available to keep us moving forward.
